Vesterålen and Lofoten 2006

We slept until 7.30 hrs. The turquoise blue water was glittering in the sun. We had a walk in the water of the fjord. Right now it was ebb. After breakfast we packed our stuff and left at 10.30 hrs. The weather was great! The road was nice and took us along fjords, over mountains and through tunnels. We continued on road number E4 towards Fauske.

At the Sagelv and Sagfjord somewhere between Fauske and Hamarøy we had a break. It was a beautiful place with natural pools in the river. We took a bath and it was gorgeous! The water was very warm.

At 17.00 hrs. we took the ferry from Bognes to Lødingen. The trip took approx. one hour. The weather was still great! We drove until the northern part of the island group Vesterålen. First we drove to Andenes and then to Bleik. There is a beautiful camping site at a long, white sand beach. After we had installed ourselves we took a long walk at the beach. We picked a lot of nice shells and walked barefoot in the quite cold water. We were almost alone here!

It's light during day and night and we went to bed quite late.
